Pastor Robert C. Jones, Jr

Robert C. Jones Jr., is the Pastor of Keel Avenue Baptist Church North Bellevue Blvd., Memphis, TN 38107.  Also Pastor of Hill Chapel Missionary Baptist Church 4523 Raleigh Lagrange Rd. Memphis, TN 38128
Pastor Jones grew up in a Christian home and is the youngest of three children.  He graduated from Wooddale High School in Memphis, Tennessee.   From there,  he went on to Crichton College, graduated and received a B.S. in Biblical Studies.  He has worked on many hours toward his Master’s degree by attending Reform Theological Seminary.   He was called into the ministry at the age of 17, one day before his 18th birthday.
He has held several positions in the Baptist Ministerial Association.  Serving as Secretary, Dean and Assistant Dean of Doctrine and Assistant Financial Secretary(present).  He was a member of the African American Pastors Consortium.  He has been a mentor for young boys at Briarcrest Christian School.  He has had the opportunity to preach on the National level in the National Baptist Congress and Convention.  He has led many leadership institutes and seminars across the Tri-state area.  He is also one of the heavily sought out preachers for revivals and special programs, as he has been affectionately known as the “Lilman with the Big Voice.” 
Since February of 1994, God has blessed Pastor Jones as preacher, teacher, overseer, evangelist, and Pastor of Keel Avenue Baptist Church in Memphis, Tn.  In March 2018 God blessed him with an added assignment as the Pastor of Hill Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Memphis.  The Lord has and continues to use Him to share the gospel to many near and far.  Pastor Jones is a member of New Salem Baptist Church where he is under the leadership of Dr. Frank E. Ray Sr.
The passion that Pastor Jones expresses for the Word and Keel Avenue is soul deep, but does not compare to the passion He feels for his family.  On August 28, 1990 God blessed Pastor Jones with his wife, Twylia. To this marriage three sons were born, Rev. Robert T. Jones, Rogerrick T. Jones, and ReJosef  T. Jones.  He continues to seek to please God in impacting the lives of people for His Kingdom.
